Brighton Township is a safe place in which to live and raise a family. POLICE
Located at 1400 Brighton Road, the township police department consists of 15 officers: Chief of Police Howard Blinn, three Sergeants, one Corporal, and 9 full time patrolman and 1 part time patrolman. The Department provides 24-hour patrol coverage with a minimum of two officers per shift. All non-emergency calls to the department should be directed through the Emergency Services Center Dispatch in Beaver at 724-774-1789. All emergency calls are directed to 911.
CRIME WATCH
Brighton Township Police are available to attend community or neighborhood meetings to discuss the establishment of a formal Crime Watch Program or to address a specific area of crime prevention. Contact Chief Howard Blinn with questions or to schedule a meeting by calling 724-728-1134.
HOUSE WATCH
If you are going to be away from your home for a period of time, the police department will make periodic checks on your residence while you are away. Prior to leaving, phone the department at 724-728-1134 with departure and return dates
FIRE FIGHTING
The Brighton Township Volunteer Fire Department (BTVFD) has three fire stations, No. 1 located on Dutch Ridge Road, No. 2 on Tuscarawas Road, and No. 3 on Grange Road. Training is conducted every Monday evening at Station No. 3. The department has a Junior Firefighter program for those age 16 and 17.
